Accept Your Assignment
Getting started as a Helper is quick. You'll have a focused, easy-to-use interface designed specifically for table-side score entry.
Receive the invitation
You'll get a push notification and email: "You've been invited as a Tournament Helper for [Tournament Name]."
Accept the invite
Tap Accept on the invitation. You'll see the Helper Dashboard appear in your app's event list.
Review your table assignments
Before the event day, check which tables you're responsible for. The Organizer may update these right up until the tournament starts.
View Assigned Tables
Your Helper Dashboard shows only the tables you're responsible for, keeping your view clean and focused.
Current table status
Each table card shows its status: Free, In Progress, or Issue Flagged. Tap a table card to open it.
Match queue
Each table has a queue of upcoming matches. See which match is live, which is up next, and how many are waiting — so you can manage your time between tables.
Match details
Tap any queued match to see both players' names, their category, and the match format (e.g., Best of 5). This helps you prepare before calling them.
All-tables view
Switch to All Tables to see every table in the venue. This is useful if another helper is absent and you need to cover their table temporarily.
Call Players
Calling a match sends an instant push notification to both players with your table number and a countdown to show time.
Open the next match
Tap the match card at the top of your table queue — it shows the two players and the category (e.g., Men's Singles Round of 32).
Tap Call Players
Tap the Call Players button. Both players receive an instant notification: "Your match is ready — please report to Table [X] now."
Monitor acknowledgments
The match card shows whether each player has acknowledged (tapped On My Way). You see their status: Notified → On My Way → Arrived.
If a player doesn't show
After the no-show window expires, tap Re-Call for a second notification. If still no response, tap Flag as No-Show to alert the Organizer and Chief Referee.
Enter Game Scores
Once the match starts, enter the score for each game in real time using the simple +/− interface.
Tap Start Match
When both players arrive and are ready, tap Start Match. This locks the match into In Progress status and opens the score entry screen.
Enter scores per game
For each game, use the + button to add a point to the correct player. Use − to correct an accidental tap. The score updates in real time for all viewers.
Deuce handling
When the score reaches 10–10, the app automatically enters Deuce mode. Continue tapping + until one player leads by 2. The app declares the game winner automatically.
Complete each game
When a game ends, the app prompts you to Confirm Game Score before moving to the next game. Double-check the score is correct before confirming — this adds a second layer of accuracy.
Submit Match Result
Once all games are played, submit the final result and let the system handle the rest.
Match complete screen
After the last game is confirmed, the app shows a Match Complete summary screen with all game scores, the match winner, and the final score (e.g., 3–1).
Review before submitting
Carefully review every game score on the summary screen. Ensure each game score is correct. You can still edit by tapping Edit Score on any game before submitting.
Tap Submit Result
Tap Submit Result. Both players immediately receive a push notification asking them to confirm the result. The bracket is updated tentatively.
Await player confirmation
If both players confirm, the result is finalized and the winner advances automatically. If a player disputes, the Chief Referee is notified to resolve it.
Table is now free
After submission, your table status returns to Free and the next queued match appears at the top of your queue — ready for you to call.
Escalate Issues
Some situations are beyond the Helper's authority. Know when and how to escalate to the right person.
Player dispute
If a player verbally disputes a score during the match, pause score entry, note the claimed correct score, and tap Flag for Referee. Do not proceed until the referee has reviewed.
Misconduct or unsportsmanlike behavior
Tap Report Incident from the match screen. Add a brief description. The Chief Referee is immediately notified and will attend the table.
Technical error in app
If the score entry screen freezes or shows an error, do not attempt to continue. Note the current game score on paper and immediately contact the Organizer or Chief Referee.
Table equipment issue
If the playing table or balls need replacing, pause the match, notify the Organizer via Flag Table → Equipment Issue, and wait for instructions before resuming.
